What to do on Easter?
...go India!
Brilliant (which means STUPID) idea to go and try to get from Delhi to Leh on motorcycles... in April.
This is a dream trip... a dream that a long time ago I thought would be just a dream and would never, ever come true. Three Amigos (Artur, Krystian, Mike)... or three idiots with no plan, no idea how bad things can get. Weird stories, sketchy places, army pointing a g** ...but let's not spoil everything at once :)

Episode 1
OK then... part one. Flight to Delhi, getting rental bikes and GO! Enjoy the stories, then make one yourself one day!
Episode 2
Kashmir... That's another "level" of India. Yet another part of the World... another World itself. We are riding through the lower parts of the Himalayas... and it's no joke already. You have to be focused all the time. India is all big off road test of your life :) but... reward is the food! and CHAI!!!
Episode 3
We're in Kashmir... What is it really like? Srinagar, Drass, Kargil... cities that are so different to Europe and even from central India places. But... we're there for the Himalayas... to see, to ride, to make the dream real. First to tackle: Zoji La pass at 3500m.
Episode 4
The longest day on Himalayan roads and off-roads probably... Up and downs... mood on and off... high altitude sickness... but, the best motorcycle riding day of my life so far. In this part, you'll see all seasons along one riding day... with a detour that made the day that special. ...but, don't kiss the ambulance ;)
Episode 5
Leh... yes, that one... in India, Ladakh. The last city... next would be China or Pakistan. What's Leh like? What are we gonna do next? We are so far away from home... and far away from Delhi. What about Umling La? What about going back to catch the flight back? ...and what else can go wrong? Whatever, man... the journey is just awesome.
Episode 6
Last dance with Ladakh... Yep, we're leaving Ladakh and going back to Kashmir. We didn't even notice the highest point we rode through... 4200m. Time was really against us, so we had to cover lots of miles... and of course... even good friend lose their cool.
Episode 7
26th of April... We're in Kashmir. Things get tense... we didn't realise how far we stepped into the danger. We're motorcyclists... at least this is what we think. We're typical tourists... from the 'shiny happy people' part of the World. I think we're pretty lucky we made that journey at all.
Episode 8
27th of April... Kashmir's last dance. I lost count of how many times we've been stopped by the Army... However, that was serious. The lower parts of the mountains are just stunning! The forest... trees are so tall. Nature at its best. But then... imagine following your Garmin, but there is no road yet :) or... snapped clutch line in the middle of nowhere... Plus... really close encounter with the Army aiming at us!
Episode 9
28th of April... Finally... we've left Kashmir. Welcome to the states of Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana in India. Fast riding down to Delhi, stopping in Lagoon.
Episode 10
30th of April... This is the end... my only Indian friend. Well... Jim's vibes are still there for sure. Just 42 miles to Delhi... and then, at night, the true colours of India's Capital. ...it's beautiful, and it's brutal.
